Social responsibility and conservation

  • Because our access roads are made to have a low impact on the environment, the annual often torrential rains experienced in the rainy season take a toll on them, and many sections require repairs every year as the rains come to an end. This road work enables also enables National parks to access the area, for their multiple conservation functions.

  • We supply some food and fuel to the Parks personal.

  • Our services are always available to the National Parks authorities for any help that may enhance the protection the environment.

  • With conservation of the environment in mind, both of our camps are almost exclusively supplied with electricity from solar energy systems.

  • The staff employed in our camps are from the surrounding local communities

  • Fishing is carried out on a strict catch and release policy.

  • Due to the extreme remoteness of our location, as well as our suitability of environment, a large number of endangered pangolins have been released by us through the Tiki Haywood Foundation.
