MakombakombaMakombakomba camp, derived from the shona dialect ‘where the water runs’ is a luxury camp sited on the top of high banks spectacularly overlooking the Zambezi, and nestled under the shady canopy of beautiful trees.
A private and secluded camp which sleeps 8 guests in 3 luxury thatched lodges and 1 room situated off the main lodge. Each lodge has it’s own unique interior with a lavish and open plan bathroom including an outdoor shower and corner bath tub, private decking and sitting area all overlooking the Zambezi below. The rooms can have twin beds or a king bed ( depending on preference).
Under a canopy of shady trees sits the main lodge. The dining area and lounge opens up onto a spacious area of open air decking, where there is a detached bar, outdoor sitting area ,beautiful outdoor dinning table, fire pit and swimming pool with a magnificent view of the Zambezi River. The large green oasis that surround the camp becomes a magnet to the local wildlife, especially elephants, who are fans of the fig trees growing in abundance around the camp.
